Brownstone Townhomes

At Sy-Con Excavation & Utilities, we've tackled a comprehensive civil package for the Brownstone Townhomes, demonstrating our expertise in seamless infrastructure development. This project involved extensive earthwork, ensuring all 40 townhome pads were meticulously prepared, matching existing grades and meeting strict density requirements as verified by a third-party Geotech.

Project Overview:

• Earthwork: Precision grading and soil preparation for 40 townhomes, meeting rigorous industry standards for density and stability.

• Storm Drainage: Installation of 200 LF of 24'' RCP storm drain, alongside upgrading several existing concrete drainage structures. The project also included comprehensive roof drainage systems with various cast-in-place structures like Junction Boxes, Area Inlets, and Curb Inlets, ensuring efficient water management.

• Water Infrastructure: Laying down 650 LF of 8'' DIP water main divided into two lines through active infrastructure areas. This included installation of 26 taps from an existing water main in the road, irrigation meter setups, and 40 domestic water meters, along with strategically placed fire hydrants for effective fire suppression.

• Sewer System: Integration with existing sewer mains, which involved coordination with the city, civil engineers, and appointed plumbers to provide 40 new sewer taps off a live main and adjusting rim elevations on existing manholes.

All aspects of the project adhered to OSHA standards for trench safety, ensuring a secure work environment. We completed the utility installation with full road compaction of all trenches, followed by rigorous testing, chlorination of lines, and Bac-T sampling to ensure the highest standards of safety and functionality.
