Junction at Rogers

Full Civil Utility Package

Sy-Con Excavation & Utilities successfully delivered a comprehensive utility package for the Junction North and Junction South developments in Rogers, Arkansas. This project involved the installation of essential water and sewer systems, fire suppression infrastructure, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Junction North

  • Water Main Installation: 1100 LF of 8’’ DIP water main was installed, including 4 - 2’’ water meter services for multi-level structures. Additionally, 3 fire hydrant assemblies were placed within curb islands, and two 8’’x8’’ tapping saddles, sleeves, and valves connected the system to the public water network.

  • Fire Suppression: All underground fire suppression systems were completed, including IBR installation.

  • Sewer Installation: 750 LF of 8’’ PVC sanitary sewer main was laid at an average depth of 12 feet, with 5 cast-in-place manholes ranging from 8 to 15 feet deep.

  • Testing and Safety: The project included full road compaction backfill, vacuum testing of all manholes, line pressure testing, camera testing, and full trench safety measures in line with OSHA standards.

Junction South

  • Water Main Installation: 900 LF of 8’’ DIP water main was installed with 3 - 2’’ water meter services for multi-level structures and 4 fire hydrant assemblies in curb islands. Two 8’’x8’’ tapping saddles, sleeves, and valves connected to the public water system.

  • Fire Suppression: All underground fire suppression systems were completed, including IBR installation.

  • Sewer Installation: 650 LF of 12’’ PVC sanitary sewer main was installed at a challenging slope of 0.22% to connect to existing mainlines. The average depth of installation was 17 feet, with 7 cast-in-place manholes reaching up to 18 feet deep. This portion of the project was particularly complex, requiring double-stacked shoring boxes and manhole shields to ensure safety.

  • Testing and Safety: Full road compaction backfill, vacuum testing of all manholes, line pressure testing, and camera testing were completed to ensure system integrity. All trench work was completed in accordance with OSHA standards.

This project demonstrates Sy-Con's expertise in utility infrastructure for high-demand, multi-level developments, ensuring reliable water and sewer services with a focus on precision, safety, and efficiency.
