Full Civil Utility Package
At Sy-Con Excavation & Utilities, we're proud to showcase our full utility package over at The Bend Apartments. It's a solid example of how we stick to our guns on precision and safety, especially when it comes to setting up utilities for places where a lot of folks are gonna live. We get the job done right, making sure everyone's got what they need without cutting any corners.
Project Overview:
Water System Enhancements: We installed 600 linear feet of 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) for the water main and added eight 2-inch water meter services specifically designed to support multi-level residential structures. The setup includes seven strategically placed fire hydrant assemblies within curb islands for enhanced safety.
Advanced Fire Suppression: The project features a robust underground fire suppression system, complete with IBR installation, ensuring the safety and integrity of the residential complex.
Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure: Our team laid down 980 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer main at an average depth of 12 feet, incorporating eight cast-in-place manholes varying from 8 to 14 feet in depth.
Connections and Compliance: We established three secure connection points to the public water system and executed a cost-sharing section with the City of Rogers Water Utilities for seamless connection to the public sewer system.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Our project followed rigorous testing protocols, including chlorination of the water line, Bac-T samples, vacuum testing of manholes, line pressure testing, and comprehensive camera inspections to ensure system integrity.
Safety and Structural Integrity: We ensured full road compaction backfill for all trenches, adhering to OSHA standards for trench safety. This included the use of double-stacked shoring boxes and manhole shields for deep installations to guarantee the safety of our crew and the public.
Project Management and Execution: Every aspect of the project was managed with the utmost attention to detail, ensuring timely and efficient execution without compromising on quality or safety.
